Dr. Damodharan Varadarajan Sowmya (Dr. D) is a distinguished education leader, researcher, and innovator with over 25 years of transformative experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and leadership in vocational and higher education across the MENA and Asia regions. As Department Chair at the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI), he oversees curriculum accreditation and academic development for technical and vocational programs, driving strategic partnerships with industry and educational bodies.

Dr. D holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and has earned multiple prestigious qualifications, including a Gold Medal in M.Com, as well as certifications from ACCA, CMA, MIPA, and MIFA. His teaching excellence has been recognized internationally with the ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award from the USA, and he has completed the Wharton Global Faculty Development Program at the Wharton School.
